HVC-G 2-4-8 / HVC-G 8-16-32 are shock wave pulse generators, specially designed to locate faults in power cables.

The output voltage can be continuously adjusted in the ranges 0-2kV, 0-4kV and 0-8kV for HVC-G 2-4-8 and 0-8kV, 0-16kV and 0-32kV for HVC-G 8-16-32.

A peak energy of 1000 J (which can be modified upon request) at each range provides the necessary power for precisely pinpointing faults in a cable using the acoustic method in conjunction with the RPF A/I fault pinpointing device.

The high-voltage source enables testing at any voltage level up to 32 kV. It features automatic grounding, which discharges the internal capacitors and the tested installation if disconnected.

The grounding, power supply, and high-voltage terminals are located on the rear of the unit and are easily accessible for the operator. Optionally, a filter for the ARM method (Reflection During Arcing) can be added
